Founder and Principal Consultant Susan Young has led organizations and advancement services teams through the introduction, implementation and adoption of industry-leading fundraising systems. She has experience working with stakeholders at all levels as they navigate the organizational and procedural changes associated with new systems.

Prior to founding Sansteny Ventures, Susan Young worked for more than 20 years in institutional advancement, primarily in healthcare fundraising. As a Major/Planned Giving officer, she worked directly with donors to support a multi-year, $135 million capital campaign and grow the Legacy Society. While serving as a Director at a VNA/Hospice nonprofit organization, she successfully led several capital campaigns and managed all facets of development operations. As a key member of an advancement services leadership team, Susan oversaw the Prospect Management & Research Services team as well as the Information Management and Gift Administration teams. In every role, she increased efficiency and effectiveness by applying her analytical skills to improve data management and generate meaningful reporting.
Susan received her Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Marketing from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
